Dreaming of Roses Poster

Another poster that I did for a production. I guessed it spent long enough in my files. I almost completely forgot to upload this. Its not my best work, but it's work nonetheless and deserves to be up here for preservation if nothing else. There was some painstaking work in here: tedious hair and roses (both of which I'd never done before).

I was working off someone else's (another group member's) lines which she drew in a swift 20 minutes. I cobbled together this sham in about an hour.

The clouds are a major disappointment. I felt I had more practice with those than any others. The hair was the first time I'd ever dealt with such detail. I still need more practice on that. It looks wet, and clumped together. Not good. The roses themselves aren't bad, but that's probably because of the lines. I'm very grateful for them. The detail could have been better, and the redness around the roses seem to have no purpose than to fill in the blanks.

And if you were asking: It was a great production. The first one I'd ever directed. I got a lot of help from my group members and we managed to throw together some semblance of Theatre with dodgy dialogue and sketchy plot. But it was a success in my book, with a good premise but bad handling. I loved everyone's participation, work and acting that was necessary to get the performance looking as good as it did. I appreciate it all.

If you were wondering about the plot: a man loses his memories after an accident. But his life has been a terrible and unfortunate existence. It takes his willpower and the help of therapists (and janitors) to bring him into a new life, and get him dreaming of roses once more.

It was an experience.
